Login Contact Seller Description: For your consideration, a fine example of an AYA No.2 model, hand-detachable sidelock ejector in 12 gauge. Made in 1979, this excellent shotgun has seen very little use, as evidenced by the almost perfect blueing and color case hardening, with only the occasional light ding in the stock to show for its time afield. Equipped with 28 inch barrels chambered for 2 ¾ inch shells, it’s choked cylinder and ¼ for driven game. Length of pull is 15 1/8 inches including rubber recoil pad, and the gun tips the scales at 6 pounds, 14 ounces. The action features engraved, arcaded fences, hand-detachable lockplates, removable striker discs and gold-inlaid cocking indicators and as you might expect for a gun showing little use, is tight on face. AYA built this fine shotgun with all the features you’d expect from a best London maker, but at a very reasonable price. Acanthus scroll engraving covers most of the metalwork, and it’s articulated front trigger sits inside a trigger guard with a rolled edge, in the English tradition.
