Frankly, an exquisite, virtually like new #1913 SuperMatch. Has stainless steel barrel reportedly produced by Anschutz for only a year or so. Reports by the experts tell me that this ss barrel is actually a Kart barrel, produced for Anshutz during that short period. Regardless of who made the ss barrel, I can tell you it's the most accurate Annie barrel I've ever put bullets through. I've owned 4- #54 Annies, and this is the best shooter of them all, hands down.
The rifle has seen very little use, by me or the original owner. I've owned it several years and have only shot it at my home range in the back yard. Being the second owner and a professional wood finisher, when I purchased it several years ago with a few dings in the stock, along with the usual "shiny" finish, I proceeded last summer to totally refinish the stock with a hand-rubbed oil finish. The wood has a low sheen and is truly perfect; i.e., "Like New" and beautiful. Hope the pictures reflect the wood's beauty. If they don't, I can send you larger image files, by request. They would be more visually descriptive.
The barrel and all steel is also LN.
All the steel alloy adjustment hardware is in likewise excellent condition. The front, left-hand support bracket has the universal ball adjustment. This support bracket is practically impossible to find in today's market. Anschutz doesn't make them anymore and, as far as I know, they can't be found even by doing a google search! You would need to purchase the wooden hand grip that mounts under the support. These are still available from Champion Shooters and Champions Choice.
Bolt, firing pin, breech, barrel muzzle, etc. are all in like new condition. Bluing on breech and bolt is perfect.
The wonderful Annie #54 trigger system is absolutely LN--- best system out there!
The original owner had a Unertl or similar scope mounted; hence, the additional two scope ring bases perfectly mounted on the barrel (see the pictures).
I've put maybe 200 bullets through this Annie, in Prone position in the back yard. Again, the shot groups are better than all my other Annie #54 rifles.
Am selling as I'm now retired and won't be doing any shooting with the rifle. Whoever gets this Annie gets a virtual "showpiece" that can shoot as well as it looks.
