Accepted Payment Methods: Returns: 3 Days Description: Absolutely gorgeous Colt 2ND Generation SAA with 4 ¾ inch barrel, blued finish with vivid case coloring and embellished with hand engraving and gold inlays. This piece of masterful artwork was manufactured in 1973 and subsequently beautifully engraved and gold inlaid by Master Engraver Bill Johns of Cody, Wyoming. The revolver features floral scroll and punch dot engraving on the barrel, ejector housing, frame and grip straps. There is a gold inlaid band around the muzzle and breech end of the barrel. Another gold band decorates the rear of the cylinder. There is a geometric design on the upper front sides of the frame. There is a shell design on the recoil shield and loading gate, and a star burst on the right front of the frame and on the back strap. There is a gold inlaid diamond shape on the ejector housing and gold inlaid accents on the top and heel of the back strap. Directly ahead of the trigger guard is the engraver’s signature: "BJ", surrounded by an engraved banner. The top of the barrel is marked with the one line address with an engraved geometric border around it and seven engraved arrows at the muzzle end. "COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY .45" is marked in a panel on the left side of the barrel and the left side of the frame. The matching serial number is marked on the bottom of the frame and left side of the grip straps under the grips and the matching assembly number "379" is marked on the right rear of the frame and on the loading gate. This treasure features the Colt blue finish with casehardened frame and hammer. The SAA is fitted with elegant ivory grips that feature a relief-carved steer skull on the right grip. The revolver is complete in a custom fitted walnut case with red padded fabric lined interior. This Colt is mint, as custom embellished and finished with beautiful blue and vibrant casehardened finish. The ivory grips are excellent with a few light scratches on the left panel. The engraving and markings are sharp and well defined. The action is excellent. The case is excellent. This is a wonderful Colt 2ND Generation SAA worthy of becoming an heirloom in your collection.
