Thought to be a trials gun made with smooth bore and no patch box, as it would not be needed when loading smooth bore not requiring a patched ball. Unmarked except for "LAND" stamping on lock. Metal parts have a medium patina overall with scattered light pitting. Large saber bayonet lug mounted near barrel muzzle. Stock is good, showing average wear and use, has a couple larger handling marks on left side of butt, a couple hairline cracks in the wrist, a small crack by the lock screw, and a crack by the upper barrel key on left side of forearm. Buttstock has some lightly engraved personalization on both sides. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
