Description: Here is the current, state-of-the-art form of the Classic Colt Lightweight Commander model that retains the traditional look and balance of John M. Browning's invention with updates that maintain its status as the leader among experienced hangunners. This is the classic 4 1/4 inch barrel stainless and alloy Colt XSE Lightweight Commander, catalog #O4860XSE, .45 ACP. Its frame is Teflon coated lightweight alloy with stainless steel Slide, 7 ¾ inches overall length, classic combat or Commander hammer, 3 hole aluminum combat trigger, 3-dot sights, with checkered Hard Rubber Diamond Pattern Colt grips. Its thumb safety is Extended Ambidextrous, and the grip safety is Beavertail for comfortable, controllable shooting. Aluminum, not plastic, trigger is standard, and all XSE series Colts, this one included, come with beveled magazine well and two 8+ 1 capacity magazines. Finish, as the photos show, is matte stainless with brushed stainless side features. Note that both front and rear sides of slide have grip serrations. Grip frame is full size, of course, on the Combat Commander. Only the front end of the frame, the slide, and the barrel are 3/4 inches shorter than the Government size. The specimen in the photo is one we opened new, and buyer will receive it or one of its identical mates.
