It was manufactured in 1899 and still in great condition. The barrels lock up tight as can be and they are equipped with extractors. The bores are bright and shiny and I believe that the barrels were shortened at one time. If I am correct about the barrels being shortened the work was done by a professional. After measuring the chokes in both barrels I believe that the barrels were cut 1.5 inches for a finished length of 28.5 inches. Each choke measures light modified at .016 constriction. The wood is tight and sound and there are no cracks. I believe that the gun was originally manufactured with the English stock. 13 X 2.75 X 1.75 stock measurements. Seven pounds 13.6 ounces.
