Many gun lovers reading this ad regularly scour the internet for good deals on Fox shotguns. One thing for certain; the availability of top quality, graded 20ga. Fox shotguns has dwindled to nearly zero. Shooter/collectors have recognized the Fox 16ga. and 20ga. guns are the most well-balanced, best handling guns of all the vintage American doubles. It is also known that they have the simplest, most reliable actions as well. This amazing Fox, sn203701 produced in 1935, is an awesome find. IT IS ONE OF THE FEW UNFIRED, 99.5% FACTORY ORIGINAL A.H. FOX GUN REMAINING IN EXISTENCE. First, they only made about 2400 A Grade 20ga. Fox guns, less than 1200 with ejectors, and literally a handful can be found in untouched original factory condition. Due to damage, loss, poor restorations, etc. there are only a few hundred genuine, honest, factory correct, high-condition Fox AE 20ga. guns left in the world, and the guys that own them are not likely to be selling them soon. Just look at the untouched condition of this gun! The barrel blue is 99%, the action has 100% factory case color, the trigger guard retains 99% factory charcoal blue, the engraving is crisp and clean, and the screws are untouched. This Fox has perfect mechanics, excellent bores, and is tight as new on breech face and hinge pin. The factory order card shows the gun “as shipped”; even the chokes and stock dimensions are unaltered since leaving the factory. It is hard enough to find a decent AE 20ga. nowadays, let alone one weighing 5lbs. 11oz. with #4 weight barrels in totally unmolested condition. The gun is 84 years old and does have some storage and handling marks, but it is indisputably factory original and THERE IS NOT A HINT OF A PRIMER RING SHOWING ON THE STANDING BREECH OF THE ACTION. THER IS NO CARRY WEAR. THE GUN MATCHES THE ORDER CARD EXACTLY IN ALL WAYS. Don’t let this one escape you. It will be a long time before you even see another Fox AE 20 that is unfired and offered for sale.
