Based on a newer Winchester Model 70 Super Express CRF (controlled round feeding) action with serial G96548, it features a 23.5-inch custom match grade heavy sporter barrel (25.5-inches with muzzle brake) with banded and hooded front ramp sight and single fixed express leaf island-mounted rear sight. The action itself includes a carefully tuned trigger with crisp pull and zero overtravel, jeweled bolt body and three-position wing safety. Talley quick-release mounts (30mm medium height rings) are included as well. The stock is a McMillan with positive checkering fields, pillar bedding, sling swivel studs and a Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad. LOP is 12.75 inches and weight is 9.4 pounds as pictured. Markings include "PH" on bottom of receiver and "D08" on bottom of the recoil lug. The bore is in excellent condition. All metal surfaces wear Robar's exceptional finishes and overall condition is about 99%. Stock paint shows some evidence of field use (minor rubs and scratches) and rates about 95%. The .375 H&H Magnum Improved is the same as the Ackley Improved version (40-degree shoulder). Brass is fire-formed by shooting .375 H&H Magnum ammunition, and this standard ammunition can also be used outright. Price firm. Layaway considered. Photo package by request.
