Description: We were so short of rifles with which to fight a war in 1941, that we know this one went to war early. !941 serial number 273771. WWII style, walnut stocks. Early forged Trigger Assembly and other early parts. All Springfield made. No import marks or aftermarket parts. This one is early WWII and the serial number proves it. Layaway is available if you need to put a hold on this beauty and pay over time. I will accept a deposit to hold it and you set your own payment schedule. I range tested the rifle and it shoots great! Like most WWII rifles used back then with corrosive ammo, this one was rebarreled by Springfield to fight in Korea. The rifle will be shipped with an enbloc clip for loading 8 30-06 cartridges, that are then fired in the semi-automatic mode. The enbloc clip "pings" out when the final round is fired. More photos and details upon request. Early ones are hard to find. Don't miss this one by "thinking about it!" I have had a number of successful sales on this site, as is shown here.
