It's a large ring Mauser marked with a large Crown, a large "B" , "ABL" then the date 1952 on the receiver ring.The left side of the receiver has "Fab. Nat. D'Armes de Guerre". On line two it says "Herstal- Belgique".Serial number is 20070. It has been re-barreled at some point with a 22" heavy barrel that has a bright un-pitted bore. It feels to me to have its standard two stage Mauser trigger that has no creep, brakes between 5 and 6 pounds. The bolt has been turned down. Sights are Lyman ajustable rear peep, and heavy game ramped front sight. Caliber is 458 Winchester. The stock has a very nice re- finish, is glass bedded, and cross bolted, like a factory Remington or Winchester heavy caliber stock. The metal finish is good with about 90% finish, but not perfect with no rust that I can see even under the stock. The rifle is in very good condition.
