I believe the gun was built in 1955 or 1956 and the bore of the 22 inch barrel and the action look close to new in condition. There is a fine speckling of surface corrosion on the action and lever but as you can see from the pictures it is minimal. The blued finish looks very good and you cannot see the speckling unless you turn the gun just right in the light. The blue finish on the barrel looks close to new. The wood and metal are original finish. The majority of the 99's we see have wood issues, cracked or warped stocks or recoil pads fitted. Not this one, it has superb wood to metal fit and no cracks! Brass rotary magazine and hand cut checkering. Nicely fit period correct swivel set and the gun will come with the Weaver tip off scope rings and bases. A fine Classic Rifle!
