Approx. 35 mfg. by Jim Harvey with only 2 caliber marked, rest are unmarked. Another approx. 300 mfg. by Lakeland Gun Works with added barrel markings. (from Fjestad's blue book). This particular Smith & Wesson pre-model 18 in .224 Kay-Chuk Custom Caliber was manufactured in 1959, excellent condition, 98% blue, 4 inch barrel w/excellent bore, rare Bennett Gun Works, Delmar, NY, Harvey .224 Kay-Chuk conversion, adj sights, diamond grips. .224 Kay-Chuk was a popular wildcat back in the 60's and is made from .22 Hornet cases. A casting of one of the chambers reveals rim diameter about 0.357 inches, base measures 0.302-0.3025 inches in diameter tapering to 0.2915 inches in diameter, neck is about 0.2485 inches in diameter, 1.308 inches base to case mouth, about 1.074 inches rim to start of bottleneck. Cond: 98% This pre model 18 is a C&R and on my books. I can sell to your C&R or an ffl of your choice. Please make sure if you use an ffl they will take this C&R from a C&R holder (me).
