Description: PRICE DROP: In 2014 Sid Goodling (Stoverstown,PA) built me two custom 700 Remington Precision Rifles in 7.5x55 Swiss, specifically to shoot the Swiss GP-11 ball round, a cartridge renowned for its accuracy. At the time GP-11 ammo was available for 50 cents a round. 7.5 Swiss ball is a cheap and simple way to practice precision rifle shooting, especially in adverse conditions. I still have my rifle and shoot it regularly, but this one used to be my buddy's rifle and is set up with the following features: blueprinted Remington 700 action with oversized and pinned recoil lug, Sako extractor, Redfield rear receiver sight base, CM X-treme Model 22 trigger, five-shot magazine with single-shot magazine follower installed, and Nightforce 20MOA rail with 8X40 screws; steel ADL Trigger guard; McMillan Baker Special stock with magnum fill, Anschutz forearm rail, pillar bedding, custom hex head action bolts, Tubb three-way adjustable butt plate, thumb wheel adjustable cheek rest, rear sling swivel and removable front sling swivel; and 28" Brux chrome-moly barrel with a medium weight Palma contour, a GP-11 chamber cut to minimum dimensions and a .750" x 1.5" tenon for a front sight mount. The barrel is specially made by Brux with a .298"/.306" bore and a 1 in 10.5" twist. The bore has exactly 400 rounds fired, all GP-11. No handloads have ever been fired in this rifle. For those of you familiar with the GP-11 cartridge, the chamber pressure is about 45,500psi (which contributes to its very long barrel life), and its power level is midway between the 308 and 30'06. The GP11 shoots a 174 grain low drag bullet at 2580fps, and will hold its accuracy for up to 3000 rounds given proper maintenance. The condition of this rifle is exceptional throughout. The bore has been meticulously maintained and the rest of the gun is virtually free of handling marks. Those marks the gun does have are shown in the accompanying photographs. While I will take a cashier's check or money order from a major US bank, I much prefer US Postal Money Orders. I will not ship this rifle to California. It is the buyer's responsibility to arrange for the receiving FFL to make arrangement to get me and my FFL a copy of the license via email, or at the very least the FFl number so I can run it through the ATF data base. Buyer pays a fixed amount of $60 for shipping fully insured. I'm selling the rifle described above for $1099.
