This one came out of Anniston Arsenal, in Alabama. Correct WWII Walnut stock group. Late 1943 serial number, 1459XXX. 1944 dated barrel. Ordnance altered op rod with small cut to relieve the 90 degree angle, which was in all early op rods. #2 early SA bolt. SA trigger group. Clear P, proof mark. ID markings on pistol grip butt. The finish on the receiver looks like it was never re issued after being cleaned up when put away in the Arsenal. Mirror bright bore. I personally range tested at 100 yards and with my old, 75 year old eyes, I was getting consistent 3" groups, so I know that a younger shooter could do even better.
