Parker Reproductions provides the double gun enthusiast a modern alternative to a true classic. With modern steels and manufacturing techniques the Parker Repro is a wonderfully made gun designed for generations of use. Manufactured from 1984 to 1988, there are limited numbers of guns in the marketplace and everyday even fewer in new condition. These are true copies of the Parker original, with many parts interchangeable. The prices have enjoyed a steady climb, yet the guns remain affordable. In fact, when comparing to like priced double shotguns being produced today, the Parker Reproduction is a far superior product in design, quality of wood and checkering, and engraving and finish work. Where else do you find a fine double with an engraved skeleton butt plate for under $5000? This gun, sn 20-00577, made around 1986, is still in new, unfired condition harbored in its original case with canvas cover. The delicate balance, highly figured English walnut, wonderful case color and engraving makes for a handsome package. THE GUN IS IN NEW CONDITION IN ALL RESPECTS. The 26” barrels are choked IC/M, mirror bores, no pits, scratches, or dents, all brand new.
The receiver retains 100% case color, perfect screws, sharp engraving, strong well timed ejectors, action tight with lever well right of center, SINGLE SELECTIVE TRIGGER, trigger guard retains 100% blue, all in excellent mechanical condition. The wood is above average figure as Repros go, with fine English walnut, stocked with straight grip and splinter forend, perfect checkering, finish is factory new, LOP 14 1/2” to skeleton butt, 2 ¼” drop at heel, 1 7/16”” drop at comb, no cracks or repairs, superb wood to metal fit, really stunning. The case is like new, still containing the snap caps, keys, and original canvas cover. This is a gun where you have no worries about what shells to shoot or harming the value of an original Parker hunting in bad weather. You can feed this gun 2 ¾” magnum loads for your heavy shooting needs. If you look at the photos you will see a nickel-plated box with this Parker’s serial number on it and inside is a pair of cufflinks. I have never seen this in other Reproductions I have owned. The case still contains the original snap caps as well. I have priced this gun to sell, and with the superior wood and new condition, don’t hesitate or this one will be gone. Thanks for looking!
