This is Rossi's matchless combo rifle in .243 Winchester Caliber, and it comes with a matching, fitted 22 inch Modified Choke 20 gauge barrel. The shotgun barrel, as the photos show, are beadsight; and the rifle comes with no rear sight but with a Picatinny Weaver type Scope Mount base instead. We have planted a good many of these fine rifles locally, and field reports indicate that they group silver dollar size on average, whereas their competitors from H&R / New England Firearms do well to cigarette-pack at 100 yards, even in the NEF Heavy Barrel variants. This Rossi, furthermore, is a fast handling rifle at 6 1/4 pounds empty; 12 1/2 inch length of pull including a 1 inch thick recoil pad; and a compact receiver-balanced 36 inches overall length. Note the full lock lever safety on the left side of the receiver, as well as the patented Taurus Hammer lock furnished with two keys. Rifle is furnished with a scope-ready hammer extension, and comes in a durable black cloth carrying case. The currently produced models are as good as these, but nowhere near as attractive.
