Made in 1957, serial number 9255SA is an early second generation revolver featuring a 5.5-inch barrel and plastic grips. CONDITION: Possibly unfired since leaving the factory. The grips are stamped Colt and numbered to match the frame. The cylinder is marked "12". The bore is stunning, strong and bright with no evidence of wear. Bluing is approximately 97 percent, with trace thinning at the muzzle and over the grips, and some superficial marks on the trigger guard. Colors are vivid, with only a hint of tarnish near the rear of the top strap. Grips are absent issue. Mechanics are proper, with four distinct notches, tight cylinder and smooth trigger pull. BOX: The one-piece black box with correct end label (blank serial) is in very good condition. A warranty card, brush, operation manual, Special Instructions flyer, NRA flyer, an undated New Jersey permit to purchase and wax paper are included. The price is firm and layaway is available.
