P.38 German Pistol World War II Guns > Pistols > Military Misc. Pistols Non-US
Description: The P-38 is considered the first modern double action combat handgun. The P. 38 was a replacement for the Luger. The P. 38 has a de-cocker, firing pin block, and a loaded chamber indicator making it safe to carry the pistol with a chambered round and the hammer down. German WWII P.38s were made by 3 manufacturers; Walther, Mauser, and Spreewerk. Spreewerk guns were marked with a "CYQ" and no date. This P. 38 Cal.9m/m is a Spreewerk manufactured gun. Based on the serial number it was manufactured in February 1945 shortly before the Soviets captured the plant. It has all stamped matching numbers on the frame, slide, barrel and the locking lug. No serial numbers are crossed out. No Russian Capture X marks are present. All Nazi marks are present. There is a very small import mark on the front finger grip area of the frame. Metal blue is 99%. Bore shows use of corrosive ammunition, but is very shoot able. Comes with one very collectable Nazi marked magazine. This magazine is uncommon as it is void of any marks except for a single Nazi eagle over number 359 on the top back of the magazine spine. This is a nice WWII Nazi P. 38 for a collection or a shooter. Can be sold on a C&R ffl. C&R holders please e-mail for shipping before purchase. Credit card buyers please e-mail before purchase. Additional photos on request.
