Description: Selling Pistol and Holster separately. Price of $1,000 is for pistol only. Will price holster after more research.

WW1 German ERFURT P.08 Luger 9MM pistol stamped 1916 on barrel. Was told it is a WW1 German military Luger. It has what I believe is a company or unit number stamped in the handgrip. Marking is GG.NBG. It appears that the GG stands for Garde Grenadier, but I cannot find what the NBG. represents. If anybody out there knows, please let me know. Found reference to New Barrack's Gosport in the German Military.??

The serial number is 1595 and all the parts are stamped either 1595 or simply 95. All numbers matching on the gun, but not the magazine.

Has the cock and click feature. Action is tight and bore is shiny and very good. Overall in very good original condition for being 104 years old. No pitting!

Has a K.Budde Bremen leather pistol holster 4687 with matching tool 4687. Appears to be in good used condition. It has the hard to find wood finger grips on the 9 bullet magazine, but the serial number on the magazine is 8599. I have many more pictures of various stampings that I can email, if desired. Interesting piece of history! has a pencil written persons name and number on the inside of the holster flap.

Just met with Dylan Stocker of Old Arms of Idaho. He deals in antique and military weapons. He first assessed the pistol. In 1934 the National Firearms Act (NFA) was passed in the US, making short barrel pistol/rifles illegal to own. This originally had the lugs on the bottom of the grip to allow a butt stock to be attached, so you had a short barreled semi-auto rifle. Many of the Lugers had those lugs removed to eliminate violating Federal Law. Those lugs were removed from this Luger pistol which diminishes its collector value. The bore is good and the components are all tight making this gun what Dylan refers to as a collector/shooter. Shooting this gun will not significantly decrease its value.

Dylan indicated this gun would have a current market value of $800-$1,000 depending on local or national marketing.

In inspecting the leather holster, the tool and the holster serial number of 4687 do match, which is somewhat rare. He believes this holster may have been produced in 1936, so it is a later holster that is not matching to this Luger. There is another serial number stamped inside the flap that I believe say 2/36 ADB?? See photo. Dylan indicated the tool alone is worth at least $100 or more and that without doing additional research he believes the holster could be a wild card ranging from $300 up to perhaps $800 or more depending on what the research discloses.

He also recommended to sell the German Luger separate from the Leather Holster, since they do not match and the holster may almost as valuable as the 9MM Luger. Still doing more research on the holster for valuation.
