Good useable dated on lockplate 1884 SPRINGFILED Trapdoor rifle. Complete and working well. Has the 1873 sights, and , and a cleaning rod. Bore has strong rifling, and appears without pits, but is dark, and filled with dust. this is a recent attic find. wood is solid, but has field useage dings, and scratches, but not deep gouges or breaks. Has a painted stock number most likely for a state guard unit! Good example that could use a thorough cleaning to upgrade to a better condition. Barrel is 32 1/2" long, front barrel band has the stacking swivel. No eagle on the lock plate, just a date!
