This rifle features a steel receiver, falling block action, a half cock safety • a blued finish, a barrel length of 16.5 inches, a brass blade front sight, a ladder style adjustable rear sight, a walnut satin finish straight grip stock, a saddle ring on the left side of the receiver, and a weight of 6 pounds. The 1885 single shot was the first and perhaps one of the greatest of all the John Moses Browning designs. It was 100% conceived of and created by Browning in the frontier pioneer town of Ogden, Utah in 1878. Not only was it the first he produced, but it was the gun that started his relationship with the Winchester Repeating Arms company! MSRP: $1,514.00!
