Description: S & W model K22 6-inch barrel 22 caliber revolver made in 1946. This is a collector grade S & W revolver It would be hard to upgrade this K22 Not many gun people realize how collector quality S & W revolvers have appreciated in the past 2 years. I will tell you why this has happened. The Colt revolvers have appreciated unbelievable. Pythons and Diamondbacks are selling for $3500.00 to $15000.00. Thave have got so pricey that not many people are buying them now. The S & W pre-1990 revolvers quality is as good as the Colt revolvers. A few models of the Smiths compare with the Pythons in quality, looks and features. You have a much better chance of hitting a home run investment buying quality S & W revolvers now than buying the Colts. As the Colts have batched out price wise. The true collectors have upgraded their Colts to the point where they can't upgrade anymore. You can't upgrade a new in the box Colt Python any higher. That is what most true Colt Collectors have in their collection now. The new interest in collecting S & W revolvers have a much larger number of different models to collect and choose from.
