An amazing Hi Standard Model B with deluxe vintage checkered Roper grips. Serial numbers for these pistols started at 5,000 and this pistol is SN 611xx made in New Haven, CT in 1932.
The Roper grips are rare, custom made and period correct. The grips alone are with about $900.
The pistol is .22LR and features an adjustable rear sight, 6.75" barrel, two ten shot magazines, internal hammer, blued finish, thumb operated safety, bottom magazine latch, cocking indicator and right side slide catch. The blue is very good. The condition of the deluxe grips and checkering is excellent. The trigger is what you would expect of a Hi Standard. The stampings on the pistol are very sharp.
A great example of machining and hand fitted quality from the glory days of High Standard manufacturing. This pistol functions flawlessly and is really accurate and will last several lifetimes.
