It has a small ring receiver with lightening cuts below the wood line. It is marked 33/40 on the side rail, and 1942 DOT on top of the receiver. It has a small eagle proof on the left side of the receiver and two eagle proofs on the right side of the stock with "WaA63". I used this gun for hunting since it came with a heavy barrel with a mint bore and a 4 power scope. The gun is in excellent condition and would make a nice addition to any Mauser collection.Only very few of these rifles were ever produced.
