This pistol is an Argentine military authorized copy of the Colt 1911A1, used by the Argentine military until 1966. More desirable than the later Ballester-Molina pistol issued to police and enlisted personnel, these were manufactured under the supervision of Colt engineers, and the quality of the pistol is much higher.  Arsenal finish (matte blue finish).
