We’re well into our fourth decade selling Bersa Pistols, and their quality has never disappointed our local customers. Here is Bersa’s latest, their BP9 Concealed Carry variant. Manufacturer Bersa S.A. of Raos Mejia, Argentina. Exclusive US distributor is Eagle Imports of Wanamassa, NJ. Type is striker fired blowback semi automatic compact pistol. Construction is steel reinforced polymer frame with integral single slot Picatinny rail, with steel barrel, slide, and working parts. Slide is hard nickel finished, as the photos show, with black polymer frame and matte blue barrel. Barrel is 3.3 inch with six groove 1:10 right hand twist rifling. Note the strong top extraction, rightward ejection system. Barrel retracts during firing for smooth certain feeding. Sights are 3 dot configuration, dovetailed front and rear. Magazine holds 8 rounds of 9mm Luger, 9mm Parabellum, 9x19, call it what you will, THE 9mm, so 8+1 total capacity. Trigger is .424 serrated face polymer, and operates with a short 1/2 inch travel motion and 5 pounds or less of pressure. Dimensions are 6.35 inches length; 4.8 inch height; and .94 inch thickness. Weight empty is 21.5 ounces, with center of gravity at the trigger center. This Bersa BP9 CC has a firing pin safety, a slide integral internal lock, and a magazine safety. It will Not fire single shot with no magazine. This specimen comes to us from another dealer. It is unfired in its original box with both magazines, instruction manual, NRA enrollment form, fired brass case dated from late 2013, protective papers, hang tag, and factory key for its slide integral lock. Its instruction manual contains its never executed factory registration certificate. It has never been loaded or fired, and it is under factory warranty, so we will not offer a return privilege on it. We do not note any surface detractions other than slide contact on the chamber hood of the barrel, this pistol has no more shelfwear than any others a person will see in a gun shop. Replacement pricing on this Bersa, if a person can even find one, ranges $500 or even more.
