Description: General Specs: Colt, Year 1979, .357 Magnum / 38 Special, 42.3oz Serial Number: V66852

Considered the "Rolls-Royce of Colt Revolvers", the Colt Python has a reputation for accuracy, smooth trigger pull, and a tight cylinder lock-up. Built on Colt's large I-frame, it is a double action handgun chambered for .357 Magnum cartridge and features full barrel underlug, ventilated rib and adjustable sights. Originally designed as a target revolver, the Python came with a smooth trigger, solid construction, and precision adjustable sights. Tight gaps and extra metal for stabilization further aided accuracy and velocity. Once a popular carry among uniformed and plainclothes officers, there is no doubt why this was called the "best revolver in the world".
