Description: This listing is for the exact pistol in the photos. Here is John M. Browning's final invention, the model of 1935 Hi-Power. Manufacturer was Fabrique Nationale, S.A., of Herstal, Belgium. From its T144000 range serial number, it was manufactured in 1965, likely a veteran of the Six Day War. Importer marks on forward underside of frame read, Made in Belgium / C.A.I. Georgia VT. Barrel's chamber hood and right side trigger guard junction bear FN proofs. Slide, frame, and barrel numbers are all matching. Construction is entirely steel, with Israeli Army issue grips. Type is hammer fired, locked breech single action semi automatic pistol. Caliber is THE 9mm: 9mm Luger, 9x19, 9mm Parabellum. Barrel is one piece 118 mm or 4 5/8 inch, 1:9.75 right-hand-twist 6 groove. It is a Browning type cammed barrel, slide stop threads through the guide rod head. Slide is contoured muzzle with rear serrations and integral bushing. Sights are stake on front low profile blade, and matching black notch dovetailed rear that is drift adjustable for windage only. Trigger is .265 smooth faced combat, with matching serrated Commander type hammer. Trigger pulls two stage at 6 1/2 pounds vicinity, with negligible felt creep and overtravel. Main safety is low profile left side for right handed shooter, engages on half cock or full cock, and serves as a disassembly catch as well. Magazine safety ensures that the pistol will Not fire single shot without a magazine in battery. Magazine is original factory FN, holds 13 rounds of 9mm ammunition. Slide thickness is .876 at the port; overall length is 7 3/4 inches, and height is 5 1/4 inches. Weight empty is 33 ounces with center of gravity at the breech face. Metal finish is polished surface. This pistol served in the Land of Israel with the Mishteret Y'Israel, the Israeli Civilian Police. Surface detractions are extensive, principally moderate lateral surface pitting on the right side, so it was probably issued to a left handed Israeli officer. We rate this Hi-Power as Good, 65 percent vicinity by our estimate. Photos, at any rate, ought to suffice so that our distinguished shoppers can judge finish grade for themselves. Bore has well pronounced rifling lands, but the grooves are etchy. Otherwise, chamber, and mechanism are all bright, clean, and clear. Replacement pricing on any current production Browning Hi-Power is well over $1100.00 on browning com. A professional refinish job on this one should run between $300 and $400. We’re offering this collectable, serviceable Belgian – Israeli – Vermont – Tennessee Hi-Power for only $ 539.00. Not transferable to non C&R Civilians in Massachusetts.
