We began stocking a few of these after hearing positive reviews from very serious and dedicated hunters from neighboring McNairy and Hardeman Counties here in West Tennessee. The Mossbergs have superceded the Savages as the best value in a quality high powered rifle on the market. They come with standard 22 inch barrels, 4 + 1 magazine capacity; adjustable triggers; thumb safeties; matte blue metal set in Black Synthetic all purpose stocks. Length of pull on the buttstock is 13 1/8 inches from the trigger face to the center of the recoil pad. Youth length stocks are usually 12 - 12 1/2 inches; while full length stocks usually pull at 14 inches, so this is in between on the stock length, but it is not a youth length rifle. To strike another competitive blow against the Savage, these are true short action rifles. The Savage 110s, fine rifles though they are, are all long action. Our Mossbergs all come with Weaver or Picatinny type bases already mounted. This Mossberg 100 ATR, all terrain rifle, like its Remington and Savage competitors, is still U.S. Made.
