The bore looks shiny to the naked eye, Inspection with a bore scope shows light pitting in the bore, the lands & grooves are still prevalent. Of the last few Mitchells Mauser I have seen, the bore on this rifle is by far the best one. The blueing shows a few light scratches in the finish and light pitting is visible on the exterior metal surfaces.
