It is 12 gauge pump action. The box was in bad shape when I bought it, so I took the literature out and put it its own case. The reason I haven't shot it is because there are no ranges in my area that allow shotguns. I am now in the market for a semi-automatic shotgun. FYI: there is a button on the pump grip that ejects the round from the chamber without loading another in from the reserve so you can unload the chamber or if you want to put a different type of round in the chamber.
