Manufacturer was Safariland at their original production facility in Monrovia, California. Construction is leather grained Safari-laminate, kevlar reinforced synthetic three ply construction with leather grained surface, molded polymer inner, and suede leather inner lining for minimizing wear to the pistol’s surface. Closure is nylon stitching, with nylon stitched back retainers, and brass tab thumb break closure. Weight empty is 9 ounces. Finish is semi gloss black leather style. Surface detractions are minimal, principally inside wear to the belt loop padding. We rate these holsters as Very Good, perhaps even Excellent condition, but photos should suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. These holsters served with the Swiss Kantonspolizei St. Gallen, the Distinguished Officers of Canton St. Gallen, who were equipped with Sig Sauer P226 Pistols. From the parent pistols’ date codes, JJ – KD, these were issued in the early 1990s. They were designed for P220 and P226 pistols. They will also fit models P6, P225, P228, and P229 with room to spare on the muzzle end for the shorter pistols.
