Hand Ejector Second Model .455 Guns > Pistols > Smith & Wesson Revolvers > Pre-1945
Description: Second Model Hand Ejector revolver, cal .455, 6.5" unshrouded barrel, blue, fixed sights, checkered walnut diamond medallion grips with lanyard ring, serial # 144xx, made in 1914 under British contract. This revolver retains 97% blue finish overall with a bit of muzzle wear on left side of bbl and a few marks on the frame. The rear strap and bottom of frame show some peppering as does the bbl just below patent dates. All British proof marks are vivid and intact. The hammer, trigger and lanyard ring retain nearly all of their vivid case coloring, grips are mint with sharp diamonds and pencil numbered to gun, medallions are mint, but have tarnished to a dull gold. Mint bore and cylinders, super tight fit and perfect action, made like a swiss watch. I do not have a documented history of this gun but it appears that a British gent expertly etched his name on the left side of frame which does not detract. This gun is in incredible condition for being 94 years old, I have never seen a nicer one! C&R OK. Shipping and insurance is $25.00 to lower 48 states. PA residents add 6% sales tax.
