Only reason I am trying to sell (or trade) this rifle is because I didn't do my research as I should of. I found two reasons why this rifle isn't for me. 1) I am left handed and didn't know that a left handed AR-15 really makes a difference. 2) I am a police officer and purchased this rifle for work. Ammo can be expensive and on top of that we can only shoot frangible .223 on our police range. My goal was to purchase a .22 converter so I can practice using the same rifle I carry on the street. I found out the hard way they don't make .22 converters for piston ARs. Purchased this AR back in March for $975 plus spent about $50 for the Mako iron sights. The rifle sat under my bed until I brought it to the range for 2 days until I decided to try to find a new rifle. I am not trying to make a profit, really want to get a left handed model. A Stag 1L will cost be approximately $900. Would be willing to trade. Rifle is in perfect condition other than a gray scratch on the upper receiver near the safety. I was conducting training on a ghost ship on the James River and set the rifle down on the deck which left a mark. Will send actual pictures of the rifle upon request. Clean serial and sights will be included. Please buy. I want to keep this AR in mint condition so I am using a department issued M16A1 which must be 20 years older than me.
