Bulgarian SA93 AK47 rifle 7.62x39 cal. Regarded as one of if not the best AK47's ever made. Made in Bulgaria in 1995 and not a US "remanufactured" rifle. Shot little and been a safe queen for years. 99+% condition and nearly as good as it came out of the box 15+ years ago. Includes original box, manual, sling, oiler and Quality Certificate dated Oct 1995. Never had one failure to feed etc etc with any ammo or mag. These were built on former Soviet machinery and the hammer forging barrel technology was borrowed from Steyr. Great black finish and hammer forged chrome lined barrel for longevity. Has correct left hand threaded muzzle 14x1LH with Tapco copy of RPK type flash hider that work great. Hammer trigger sear are Gordon Technologies which Tapco bought the rights from but the Gordon Tech parts were heavier duty, more precision made and with much smoother trigger. K-Var US Bulgarian clone stock set installed including front handguard heat shield. These rifles don't have a lower butt stock tang so a heavy duty machine screw and modified heavy duty washer was used from inside the reciever into the butt stock to add assurance which is what most did with these as the stock is really snug already with just the top tang so is not really needed anyway. Included is original Bulgarian tang and rivets still in pack made for this reciever if you want to put it in but it is not needed. Everything about this rifle drips quality, from the butter smooth action to the extreme accuracy, simply the best bar none. Hate to sell but need to finish another project. Get the best for not much more than the rest. Postal MO prefered. Make sure your dealer will accept shipment from a non-FFL. Please let me know of any questions.
Gun Mag review: The Bulgarian Arsenal SA and SLR series AK rifles were "probably" the best quality straight AK's ever imported. Kalashnikov himself reportedly once said that the best quality Non-Russian AK's were the Bulgarian rifles. The milled receiver is absolutely top quality and properly hardened. The Bulgarians bought hammer forging technology from the Austrian Steyr company, and the Bulgarian hammer forged barrels are almost certainly the best AK barrels ever made. The hammer forged barrels are high quality, and the harder hammer forged metal along with the first rate hard chrome bore and chamber, give a service life that in semi-auto is probably just about forever. I've never heard of a Bulgarian SA or SLR barrel being shot out. The Bulgarian rifles have a reputation for better accuracy, with most owners reporting at least 2 inch groups at 100 yards.
