The barrels are engraved "Acciaio 30 Cr Mo 4" and "Filli Piotti - Italy" on top. The flats are stamped with 1984 Italian nitro proofs and the importer, "W.L.Moore, Westlake, Ca. Mod. Lunik". Piotti engraver, G. Renetti (signature on trigger plate) did the beautiful Renaissance style scrolled vine and acanthus engraving which covers the action and lockplates. This same scroll continues to the operating lever and the extra long tang. Striking European walnut with a stump burl figure is used for the pistol grip stock and the small beavertail forearm. A gold, engraved Piotti shield is centered on the forearm and surrounded by 32 LPI checkering. The stock retain all of its original finish, the barrels have 97% of their original blue with a small scratch at the chamber and the coin finish on the action is like new.
