Here is the original Tyler revolver grip adapter. This is Tyler’s 20F#8, to fit any Ruger Security Six, Speed Six, Police Service Six, or Redhawk revolver, in conjunction with traditional small Magna type service grip panels. It will not fit over rubber grips because it anchors to the grip frame front strap, and rubber covers that area. Manufacturer and warrantor is Tyler Manufacturing of Oklahoma. Construction is one piece polished aluminum alloy, with copper alloy retaining clip and steel clip ring. Finish is matte surface black anodized, or simply Flat Black. This grip adapter became a classic in the 1960s ad 1970s distributed from Mr. Melvin Tyler in Oklahoma City. It will Not fit GP-100, will Not fit Ruger Super Redhawk Revolvers, will Not fit SP-101 revolvers. It Will Not fit Single Action Rugers, no Single Sixes, no Blackhawks, No Super Blackhawks, No Vaqueros. It will only fit Ruger Security Six, or Ruger Speed Six, or Ruger Service Six, or Ruger Red Hawk revolvers equipped with magna service type wood grips. The Tyler T-Grip provides support for the shooter’s middle and ring fingers, with enough space for the pinky to rest on the grip frame front strap. Its purpose is a better feel, but it also allows a much smaller grip circumference than Rubber or Combat grips, and it helps allay muzzle flip with magnum loads. This grip adapter, with the above listed requirements, is relatively easy to install. All a person needs to do is loosen the revolver’s grip panels’ screw just enough for the copper tabs to fit around the grip frame’s front strap, slide it into place and then retighten the grip screw. This grip adapter restores the classic 1970s – 1980s appearance to any Ruger Double Action Revolver that has a conventional grip frame.
