A truly spectacular mountain rifle, it features a light weight synthetic stock with positive gripping surfaces, modest Schnabel, Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad and a 26-inch (including brake) match grade barrel. The action is spectacular, a contoured "square bridge" design with reprofiled receiver, reshaped and checkered bolt release, four-panel checkered bolt knob and perfectly jeweled bolt body, extractor and follower. Reshaped Talley rings (1-inch, high) rise seamlessly from the receiver to complete the metal presentation. The floor plate is engraved with a wonderful kudu bull in a large oval, which is in turn surrounded by a bold vine and scroll pattern that continues over the trigger guard, up and over the receiver and along the sides of the rings. Maker's name, serial number and caliber are engraved in scroll. Initials "AS" appear on the trigger guard. Weight is 7.4 pounds as pictured and length-of-pull is 13.25 inches.
