Description: From its V442000 range serial number, we estimate that this Smith & Wesson Victory Model Revolver was manufactured in 1943. This Victory appears original throughout. Its ejector rod is blue, but that was common on parkerized Victory models. Finish is, of course, military parkerized and original, with color casehardened original service hammer and serrated face service trigger. Cylinder serial number matches the number on the butt. This is a military issue Victory, with US Property and GHD Inspectors initials on the left side of the top strap. Surface detractions are minimal to moderate. The cylinder edges show roughness, but some of that may be from hasty wartime production assembly. Grips and lanyard are period correct military issue. Note the hillbilly artistry on the left grip panel, where the post war owner did a fair job of replicating a logo contour. We will replace the grips if these are objectionable to the buyer. We rate this Victory as Very Good, close to Excellent, 85 percent vicinity by our estimate. Photos, at any rate, ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. It is certainly excellent mechanically, the hammer travels fully 10 to 15 degrees on a slow double action pull after the cylinder times, and more than that on single action. Lateral movement to the cylinder is minimal with the trigger relaxed and negligible with the trigger fully depressed. Blast effect to the under side of the frame top strap directly above the barrel’s forcing cone is negligible; and the bore and cylinder chambers are all bright, clean, and excellent. This revolver came from an estate in Decatur County, Tennessee, near a confluence of no fewer than 8 small TVA dams at the Beech River Area in Decatur County. We suspect, but cannot prove, that it served with the TVA after the war. Most jobs and ordnance in Decatur County were TVA related during and after World War II. We’re offering the Smith & Wesson Victory Model in the photos for only $ 789.00. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> $12 handguns lower 48; $40 handguns Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico, USPS Priority Mail, insured with Delivery Confirmation. Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
