Production date is April/May 1944. Has correct IBM barrel. Rifle went through a post WWII US military arsenal rework. The rifle retained its correct National Postal Meter stock and butt plate while obtaining parts from other WWII carbine manufactures. There is a surface arsenal repair on the left side of the stock along with some minor surface rust on the right side of the barrel band. Carbine is coming from an estate. It was purchased in the early 1960's from the Department of Civilian Marksmanship then put away by its original owner. It appears to have been fired very little since its post WWII arsenal rework. The original arsenal rework parkerizing is almost totally intact in the normal wear areas. Bore is excellent: bright, sharp lands. Comes with a USGI sling and what appears to be a WWII oiler.
