It was owned for many years by a Coloradan who last lived in Englewood, CO I bought it from a Cowboy in Evergreen, CO; a small, quaint village in the mountains West of Denver.\, where cattle ranching and outdoor rodeos were still active in the 1970s when I met him. One of the owners was a man named Harry F. McDermott who died in 1993 Who owned it before Harry is not known to me. The Evergreen Cowboy sold it to me in 1974. The fancy Colt grips are not original to the gun. The barrel has .32 W.C.F. on the left side and has COLT'S PA MFG Co. HARTFORD, CT U.S.A. on the top. In 1984 the gun moved from Breckenridge, CO to Redding, CA where it has resided with me ever since. Now you have the opportunity to cherish it for as long as you desire and pass it on to another person who appreciates the superior workmanship of the Colt workers who put their inspection stamps on it. All numbers are matching, the bore is very good and strong rifling. Locks up very tight and has mayn more hundreds of life left with caring owners. A real WESTERN Colt from one the Rocky Mountain Cowboy states. Not much blue,but lots of healthy steel to last way into the future.
