Description: BACKGROUND of Spreewerke-Made P.38s: In 1943 personnel from the Mauser-Werke in Oberndorf went to Berlin to setup a government-operated plant to produce P.38s. The identification code assigned to Spreewerke was cyq. Early cyq P.38s were identical, in finish and manufacture, to Mauser-produced P.38s of this period.

DESCRIPTION: Caliber 9x19mm Luger. Serial number 2729c. Early Spreewerke (cyq) P.38 made in 1943 with secondary extractor cut. All matching numbers (including suffix c) on slide, barrel and locking block. Slide, barrel and locking block with Eagle/Swastika and Eagle/88 proofs. Right side of barrel extension marked B30; frame with Eagle/88. Brown bakelite grips. Right side of front sight stamped 1. Coming with one very good 8-round magazine marked P.38v on left side and Eagle/135 on spine.

CONDITION: original good plus overall appearance with thinning in grip area and typical light high point wear. Very good bore and grips. Mechanically excellent and works perfectly. No importer stamp.
