Markings: The top of the barrel is marked "STEVENS / SAVAGE ARMS CORPORATION / CHICOPEE FALLS, MASS. U.S.A. / 22 SHORT, LONG OR LONG RIFLE / MODEL 84C". There are proof marks at the chamber.

Barrel Length: 24"

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is a light colored varnished piece, with dark cap at the pistol grip and with front and rear sling swivels. There are scattered marks and dings, with the heavies being on the left side of the forearm. there are no cracks and the wear is cosmetic. The LOP measures 13 ¾” from the front of the trigger to the back of the Fine condition plastic buttplate. The stock rates in about Very good overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright. There is no erosion.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 90% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows general edge wear and scattered surface marking. The vast majority of the finish is retained everywhere but the trigger guard. The bolt channel on the receiver shows some edge wear, which we have seen before and is from an imperfectly fit bolt. The screw heads are slightly deformed but remain serviceable. The markings are clear, some are filled with white. Overall, this rifle rates in about Very Good condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We have not fired this rifle.
