The Big Boar was made only for a couple of years and there aren’t many of them around, so if you’ve been looking for one of these bruisers, here’s your chance to get one in excellent condition. This rifle will handle any game animal in North America and nost of the non-dangerous game in Africa, for that matter. Rifled 1:48”, it can shoot either round balls weighing 277 grains or various conical bullets ranging from 350 to 565 grains. It is set up to use a musket cap, but a #11 cap can be used by switching out the nipple. T/C rifles use a ¼”x28 TPI threading. A round ball goes all the way through a deer every time. The bore is in excellent condition, bright and shiny. It has the T/C open sight mounted but has been drilled and tapped for a tang sight if you prefer to use one of those. A Lyman 57ML peep sight will fit perfectly if you can’t find a T/C sight. There are a couple of minor scuffs in the stock, from rubbing on the rifle rack in my truck, but there are no cracks or splits of any kind in the wood; it is as sound as when it left the factory. I am selling because my eyes are no longer up to open sights and I'm at an age when I'm "thinning the herd." You get everything needed as well.
