This is BSA’s Huntsman High-Powered Target and Hunting Scope, 6 to 24 power variable with Adjustable Objective front lens for avoidance of parallax effects at long ranges and in dancing-heat-wave weather. Finish is attractive and durable matte blue that matches black guns very well, and even looks good on the bright blue and walnut rifles still standing in our fields. Crosshairs are standard Duplex type, narrow in the center portion; and adjustment knobs are calibrated raised target type for precise work at long distances, with 1/4 MOA clicks. We sold this scope new to its exclusive owner in fall of 2009; it has only been mounted on a Weatherby Vanguard Rifle. He had it mounted with the Leupold Medium Height, extension front, matte blue steel scope rings that are included. Surface wear is negligible, only minimal mounting scuffing from the forward Leupold Extension Ring. Lens coatings are excellent, no signs of wear or abrasions; and this scope is mechanically sound. Replacement pricing on these scopes is $200 apiece or more in our area, and we sold some of these very scopes near that price range a couple of years back.
