Importer and warrantor is Walther Arms of Fort Smith, Arkansas. Type is traditional single and double action, hammer fired blowback rimfire pistol. Construction is steel barrel, bolt assembly, magazine, and internal parts built into an alloy slide assembly with polymer frame and trigger. Barrel is 3.4 inch two piece steel, with six groove right hand 1:16 rifling. Muzzle is 1/4 x 28 threaded with .47 inch outside diameter thread protector, flush fitting with the slide face. Slide is steel breech face with alloy housing, with lateral serrations fore and aft. Sight system is stake on polymer dot front, with serrated rib, and windage adjustable rear. The P22 comes with a total of three front sight blades. Trigger is .390 serrated face polymer, pulls double action at 12 pound vicinity, with 1 inch travel. Single action is 5 pound vicinity, crisp with moderate overtravel. Safety is ambidextrous firing pin block, the hammer will cycle on safe position. There is also a firing pin / drop safety. The P22 has a magazine safety, it will Not fire single shot with no magazine. Grip frame is contoured with finger groove front and stippled surfaces all around. This pistol comes with an extra back strap piece to alter the grip frame circumference. Magazines are stainless two piece body, with distinctive double folded back closure, and with polymer floorplate and cartridge follower. The P22 holds 10 rounds of .22 LR caliber ammunition, 10 + 1 fully loaded capacity. Magazine release is guard mounted ambidextrous. Thickness is only .98 inch at the port. Height is 4 3/4 inches; overall length is 6 inches; and weight empty is 17 ounces, with center of gravity at the breech face. Finish is matte black. Each P22 comes in its original black box with instruction manual, disassembly and sight tools, extra backstrap, sight components, protective wrapper, chamber protector, warning tag, owner’s manual, factory registration card, and a total of two magazines.
