Description: Fine quality recreation of the Mauser commercial pre-war production Military Sporting Rifle, Type C, Featherweight, based on the '98 action.

24" Barrel, chambered in 7.92x57mm / 8mm Mauser. Weighs a trim 6 5/8 Lbs. 44.25" overall length. Features exc walnut stock, nicely checkered, with correct cheekpiece and pistol grip profiles.

Ramp front sight base with fine cross-checking to break glare, topped with Nickel-Silver beaded blade. Rear sight has fixed primary notch and folding secondary leaf. Secondary not relieved / notched. Round bolt knob, as on originals. This one is lacking the stepped ( military ) barrel profile of the original Mauser-made examples of this version. No visible maker name. Mechanically excellent. Finish at 98-99%. Wood has very few handling marks.
