From the collection and accumulation of our favorite Retired Police Chief comes this very attractive set of grips for vintage Colt Lightning and Thunderer series Double Action Revolvers. These are not original factory Colt, of course; they are very well made Italian copies. Manufacturer information is not marked; we hazard they are Morini of Italy. Importer is most likely Cimarron Arms, although Cimarron does not currently list cut checkered grips on any of their revolvers. Construction is cut checkered, gloss finish, one piece Italian Walnut. These will only fit Cimarron Lightning or Thunderer Revolvers, or the original Colts. Cimarron advises, on all their Lightning or Thunderer grips, that some fitting will be required, and buyers should be prepared to undertake that. Surface detractions are minimal on this set of grips, occasional scouring. We rate them as Excellent, 90 percent vicinity; but photos ought to suffice for our shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves.
