Here are factory issue Smith & Wesson Magazines to fit the service size 99 series pistols chambered in 9mm caliber, introduced by Walther of Germany, and imported by three different companies from 1998 until the present: Magnum Research, Smith & Wesson, and Walther USA. These magazines fit Smith & Wesson models SW99, SW99QA, and SW990L pistols in 9mm. They fit Walther P99 and all its variants in 9mm, including P99AS, P99QA, P99ASA, and P990. The Magnum Research Company’s MR9 Fast Action Baby Eagle is the same pistol. Manufacturer is Mec-Gar s.r.l. of Gussago Italy, manufacturer of the magazine for all three companies’ pistols. Importer was Smith & Wesson of Springfield, MA. This is a factory Smith & Wesson magazine. It has issued from Smith & Wesson under two numbers, 19278 and 26489. Walther numbers included this one, 26489; 2796481, and 2796406. Magnum Research Desert Eagle number was MAGFA910. Construction is smooth blued finish steel body, with round count ports, steel spring, and polymer cartridge follower with black poly 10 shot limiter floorplate piece. Each magazine holds 10 rounds of 9mm Luger caliber ammunition – 9mm Parabellum, 9x19, call it what you will, THE 9mm. These magazines will Not fit any Smith & Wesson SW9 Sigma series pistols.
