Description: From a New England collection comes this RG10 revolver. It is distinctive in two respects. One, it is chambered in Long Rifle Caliber, where most RG10s were .22 Short only. Second, it has a Bisley type frame. Manufacturer was Rohm GmbH of Sontheim, West Germany. This revolver is not import stamped, but most RGs came in through Eig Cutlery in Miami, ancestor to the live and thriving EAA Corporation. 65 date code indicates 1965 manufacture date, and its 44000 range serial number is in the correct range for its siblings that we sold new in 1964 and 1965. Importation ceased on these as assembled guns, on December 1, 1968. Type is side loading, single and double action revolver, with manual ejection through the port with a removable ejector pin. Construction is steel one piece barrel, cylinder, hammer, trigger, and internal parts fitted into a zinc alloy / zamak pot metal frame with pot metal collar type front sight, and with white plastic grip panels. Chambering is .22 Short, Long, and Long Rifle, and cylinder capacity is 6 rounds. Barrel is 3 1/8 inch one piece, pinned into place, with steel inner barrel that has 8 groove right hand 1:16 rifling. Sights are barrel collar blade front, with frame integral fixed notch rear. Trigger is .220 smooth face, with .195 width serrated spur hammer. Ignition is hammer nose firing pin. Mechanism has a transfer bar safety to keep the firing pin from touching the cartridge unless the trigger is fully depressed. It does Not have its ejector Rod, that screws into the cylinder rod housing, so owner would need to eject spent brass with another pin. Frame is square butt Bisley Type. Weight empty is 16 ounces, with center of gravity at the rear cylinder face. Surface detractions on this RG are moderate, principally occasional freckling on the steel, and edge wear on the anodized frame finish. Note that its left grip panel is missing its medallion. We rate it as Very Good, close to Excellent, 85 percent vicinity by our estimate. Photos, at any rate, ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. Double action trigger pull is tight but smooth 12 pound vicinity. On both single and double action, the cylinder times correctly on all six positions. Cylinder has no lateral play with the trigger fully depressed. From the minimal carbon deposits on the cylinder face, we estimate this .22 has been fired fewer than 200 times. We’re offering the 1965 Bisley Framed RG10 Long Rifle in the photos, however, for only $119.00. Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
